Course Description

Discovering Intelligent Design is a comprehensive curriculum that presents both the biological and cosmological evidence in support of the theory of intelligent design. It equips young people and adults to critically analyze the arguments in the debate over evolution and intelligent design, encouraging them to follow the evidence wherever it leads. Enrolling in this online course is free, but you will need to purchase the Discovering Intelligent Design textbook and workbook to complete the course.

Important Information:  Upon enrolling in this course, you will have 180 days to complete it. After 180 days, your course access will expire and you will need to re-enroll if you want access to the course. Instructor

Casey Luskin

Associate Director, Center for Science and Culture

Casey Luskin is Associate Director of the Center for Science and Culture at Discovery Institute. He was trained as a scientist and an attorney, having earned his PhD in Geology from the University of Johannesburg, a law degree from the University of San Diego, and bachelor's and master's degrees in earth sciences from the University of California-San Diego. He has conducted scientific research at Scripps Institution for Oceanography, University of Johannesburg, and University of São Paulo, and has studied evolution extensively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Casey cofounded the Intelligent Design and Evolution Awareness (IDEA) Center, helping high school and college students to learn about ID by forming IDEA Clubs. He has published in technical law and science journals, including Journal of Church and State; Montana Law Review; Geochemistry, Geophysics, and Geosystems; and South African Journal of Geology. Casey has lectured widely on ID before audiences on four continents, has published numerous articles on ID, and has co-authored or contributed to ID books including Traipsing Into Evolution, Intelligent Design 1, Science and Human Origins, Theistic Evolution, The Comprehensive Guide to Science and Faith, and the Discovering Intelligent Design curriculum.
